The Academy for Performing Arts proudly showcased their incredible talent at the 2025 Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey (STANJ) Competition, earning recognition across multiple categories. We are so proud of our students’ hard work, creativity, and passion, which continue to inspire excellence in performing arts.
AAHS recently hosted two special guest speakers: Class of 2024 alumni Vyas Dhar and Shiv Subbiah. They presented to our students about the college application and transition process as well as what the beginnings of medical school is like as an undergraduate.
On November 22 and 23, APA proudly presented The Old Man and the Old Moon in our Black Box Theater, featuring a live orchestra for the first time in a fall play. This collaboration between actors, musicians, and crew added magic to an already enchanting tale.

On Wednesday, October 9th, our students at APA had the exciting opportunity to participate in workshops led by two incredible guest artists from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Kathy Morath and Katie Harvey brought their extensive expertise in performance to help guide our aspiring performers.
